Tried Eat the Bird who are running the kitchen here for the first time having been to their restaurant down in Exeter before. Really nice chicken with good portion sizes. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
It’s a lovely pub don’t get me wrong. I visited today with a friend of mine and they served Guinness in a generic glass. As an avid Guinness drinker I found this to be tasteless and rude. I requested a Guinness glass and they said they didn’t have any. Don’t sell Guinness if you don’t have the right glass. Really good beers some of them their own brews. Good atmosphere, can be very busy on a Saturday night but staff are very good. Can't see how this scores only 4.1 when far inferior places have scored more.cask prices reasonable keg is over priced everywhere unfortunately... Not the highest here, but still quite high. Really good vibrant pub.
