Had Sunday lunch today. Generally positive, it is a lovely place with a well stocked bar. However, standing room only while we were waiting to be seated.Terrific starters, whitebait, pork medallions and hummus. Main course roast a bit disappointing, potatoes could have done with another 10 minutes and weren't crispy and I almost asked for a steak knife to tackle the roast beef - it tasted good but the texture was a bit rubbery. We went on a night when they were short staffed. Steak was great, pie was quite dry and the ham was disappointing, expected nice thick carved ham, looked more like out of a packet. The lad serving us was out standing, spent his whole evening apologizing to one table or another, couldn't have worked any harder.
