I've lived in the area a while now and have been to this pub a few times over the years. I've never had a bad experience here and last night was no exception. In fact, we arrived quite late in the evening with a couple of friends, but we were still made to feel more than welcome by the very polite and personable young man behind the bar. Dropped in at lunch for a sandwich and drinks. Some nice baguettes and good choice of beers. The staff are friendly and helpful. The place is quaint, clean and tidy.I'll definitely visit again when in the town.
I’ve visited The Feathers twice this week and each time the service and the food was excellent. I’m new to the area so it’s the first time my family and I have been to the pub and each time we received a warm welcome from the bar staff and even the chef was there to say hello. My wife wanted a salad that wasn’t showing on the menu, but the chef didn’t hesitate to offer her a range of different options.
