Popped into the Botanist in Marlow for a couple of cocktails before our post Christmas meal at the Hand & Flowers nearby on the high street. My partner and I are usually fans of the Botanist chain and were looking forward to trying the Marlow one. Sadly, at least on the day of our visit, this one didn’t live up to expectations. We’re not from marlow and happened to see the botanist on the way back to our car about 3pm. We were greeted by a friendly lady as a walk in and sat down immediately and asked if we wanted drinks. Food was hot and tasty, deserts were nice to. Surprised by negative reviews I’ve just been reading, I must have gone on a good day. Will go back when next in marlow.

Although I found my Thai shrimp kebab lovely, I was a little disappointed to be charged £4 for coleslaw on top! ... and the way the waitress asked simply "would you like coleslaw or mixed greens" kind of suggests its included. Had it been phrased more like "would you like to add a side with you meal" I wouldn't have assumed it was included. Maybe thats just me.
