Myself and my wife called in during the heavy rain for a quick drink. We were very pleasantly surprised how much this pub had changed since our last visit 4 years ago. Firstly, greeted with a nice smile from the young lady behind the bar, then the very cosy atmosphere.The landlord and landlady were very nice and made us feel very welcome. Came here on the request, of my partners five year old grandson for his birthday. Words cannot really express the welcome from the landlord (and Partner!!) and loyal staff, who catered admirably for five hungry adults and children. Excellent pizzas, chicken curries and burgers. All well cooked and served promptly by friendly staff (Maddy and Kelly) One young five Yr old can say he had a good birthday meal, courtesy of the Roseand Crown. BIg hugs to Robin and staff. My sister and I took mum here for a meal for her birthday the staff were amazing they couldn’t do enough for us the food was lovely my sister had pizza i tried some the best pizza around I would absolutely recommend to anyone who wants a good meal in a lovely setting and Syd the dog is a superstar
