44 West St, Steeple Claydon, BuckinghamHad a lovely afternoon tea here with my friend. The staff were super flexible with the sandwich options and tea. The scones were excellent, fresh, not dry - thankfully no raisins which I hate! And proper clotted cream. Cakes were tasty in particular the orange chocolate tart. Was absolutely stuffed. If you're passing through Steeple, definitely stop in and have a bite.

La Fontana Restaurant & Wine Bar
12 Wargrave Rd, Twyford, ReadingLong overdue visit back to La Fontana this evening. Always a warm welcome when you walk through the door. Food is excellent, cooked to a very high standard, I had the baked stuffed mushrooms and the la diavola pizza, requested extra green peppers which were duly added. Pizza base is lovely and thin with generous toppings on top. Great menu choice for starters, mains and deserts along with a superb drinks menuHighly recommended.

15 Church St, Twyford, ReadingBeen visiting Haweli for many years and I must say this recent visit on Mother’s Day was amazing. Food was amazing. Staff were friendly and take your jacket. You feel very welcomed. Service is spot on and quick despite it being busy. Prices are fair and is the best curry around with great starters and dips.

Fresh flavours and no problem boxing left overs to take home to enjoy later.Really great selection of poppadom accompaniments, I particularly liked what seemed to be a red pepper chutney, I haven't seen this in other Indian restaurants and it was very flavoursome.Parking: Parking (for dinner at least) seems ok to do in the Waitrose car park on the other side of the road.
