We had my Father's Wake at The George one mid afternoon a couple of weeks ago. We had about 80 guests and were able to use the back room and also spill out into the main areas of the pub. Claire and her team were incredibly friendly, warm and welcoming. All the guest really enjoyed the Afternoon Tea that was provided. Great little hideaway very friendly brilliant service and great food we go there as much as we can .. just stumbled across the George one Sunday and we got a table but very lucky been back many times ever

Grand spot, friendly and switched on staff do a fine job of running a tight ship. Food and drink is always great, nice cosy spot. Watched the rugby there recently too, had some of the recommended sticky toffee pudding with a couple of pints - breakfast of champions ☺️?
