“Great classic pub with beers on draft and several great ciders to purchase. We popped in on a rainey day and it was warm and inviting. Apparently both CS Lewis and JRR Tolkin both came here to write and I could certainly see that. Had a nice patio and multiple rooms to gab a table it. Was decent busy for a random Wednesday afternoon.”

“We went there for a birthday dinner. The staff had a special attention for us. The service was impeccable, and one can see in the open kitchen that everything runs smoothly and calmly. The ambient music is soothing and not overwhelming. The food was definitely a lot but so delicious, we went from one discovery to another! We had never thought that dishes revolving solely around vegetables could be so good. And the combination with the drinks made a lot of sense. It's a real hidden gem, the food was phenomenal, and we've visited and tried many tasting menus in London and a few around the world. You can tell that the chefs and team have put an immense amount of effort into curating a beautiful and tasty menu. The flavours were amazing, each course was a taste explosion! And stunning to look at as well. The wine flight was also perfect, introducing us to many types we haven't tried before. The staff were great, so friendly, professional yet knowledgeable.
