Increasingly turning into tourist traps with new shops sprawling… the scones are too dry and bland, imagine stale bread. -1—-Classic spot in Cambridge. Probably everyone’s first brunch in town. Maybe it had been hyped up too much for us, maybe it was because it was so crowded because of the marathon that was happening. Food nice, hot chocolate was good, but a bit busy and too over crowded to enjoy the experience. Maybe next time.
Really lovely spot to have brunch. We had the avocado smash on sourdough toast with a poached egg, which was well seasoned and just downright tasty. We also had the Chelsea bun French toast which was honestly one of the best French toasts I’ve had! The Chelsea bun was light and fluffy, with the perfect amount of cinnamon (it made its presence known, but subtle enough to not overwhelm the dish) and the portions are generous.
