Lovely pub. All important free car park! (When you’re passing through an unfamiliar area) and dog friendly.I phoned ahead to make sure the pub was dog friendly and open, as I had to kill some time while I was in the area.I arrived with my puppy and set up camp for a few hours. One of the best places I have ate at in a long time,Came here as our hotel was not doing food and this blew me away.Started with a tomato and basil soup and was very nice good portion with the lovely toasted bread.For main I had the 8oz rump steak and honestly was better than 99% of actual steakhouse steaks, perfectly cooked, very well seasoned, honestly couldn't get much better.The chef was a one man army on the night and honestly deserves all the praise, he did an amazing job...read full review

Nice pub! We enjoyed our lunch here, best to drop in if it’s not a busy day/evening. The hostess was very friendly and so were the waitresses, some room for improvement I think with waiting times when you arrive but honestly a lovely lunch, and we will be back! Worth a visit if you fancy a classic Sunday roast.Vegetarian options: Good options!
