British • “Lovely place nice atmosphere. Staff very friendly and pleasant throughout. Good selection of drinks to chose from. We ordered the beer battered fish on a bed of crushed peas and tartar sauce with chunky chips . Fish nice and tasty. With a plaice cooked in butter with capers, new potatoes and broccoli stems again cooked to perfection. (See pictures) would we come back? Yep booked again on the way out to return with friends.”
British • “We stopped here for Breakfast. This is a lovely cosy pub with a traditional feel and we received a warm friendly welcome. We had 2 breakfasts and coffees. The food was excellent freshly cooked, hot and very good portions all for just over £15. Great value and looking at the menu all food is very well priced. Highly recommend we will definitely return.”

British • “We held our Wedding reception at the Little Downham Anchor and what a wonderful time we had, we were so happy with the service from John and all of his team from the initial contact to the end if the celebrations the food and attention to detail were second to none, both myself the groom and all of our guests had a fabulous time and before they left we’re planning a return visit! I would definitely recommend them for a drink and a meal to a full blown celebration thank you so much for making our day even more special”
British • “Great place. Friendly staff. Only popped in for a couple of pints. Staff difused the fight between 2 older men a tad drunk but sent on there separate ways. Added to the entertainment that I know all too well about the bar industry. :)”

“We came to Ely and stayed for a few days and one of the highlights we had was we visited Peacocks Tearoom. I ordered the Earl Grey tea and it was lovely, it was a loose tea that we could pour ourselves and it was a lovely break from the cold wintery weather. It is very popular here so if you're wanting a seat, come here early.”
