Really lovely food and friendly service. I would come againVegetarian options: We came for Sunday lunch so there was only one vegetarian main (pretty usual for Sunday lunch menus) but it was delicious and a couple of vegetarian starters to choose from
Friends and I stayed at the apartment above the red lion recently and ventured downstairs for an evening. (Apartment was great but unconnected to the pub).The service, food and overall experience was excellent. It was a surprise as this place was a hidden gem which we found without recommendation and pure coincidence.I could not speak highly enough of the staff, and though I do not live nearby, will be sure to visit if I am in the area.

We love the Red Lion. We've been for food a few times and the staff are great. Atmosphere is cosy and friendly and the food is always amazing. We called in for a drink and sat in the bar area by the fire and were made to feel very welcome by the staff. 100% reccomend a visit.
