“Visited on a Tuesday evening for dinner and didn’t disappoint. Mark the owner is one of the nicest guys we’ve ever met, went above and beyond for his customers, very attentive always making sure we had drinks and just genuinely a really nice guy. His service alone would make you want to go back and visit. We had starters, main and dessert and all were so yummy! The mango chutney onion bhajis were super yummy as was the treacle sponge for desert. We will definitely be back! Thanks so much for being so accommodating Mark! Your pub is a delight :)”

“Excellent food and 5? service. Thoroughly enjoyed my mixed grill. Others in our party of eight had various selections from the menu - the Burgers were popular - along with Beef Burginion, Ham egg and chips, Lamb etc. All plates finished! Shame it's so far for us to get to (3 hours), otherwise would be a regular. ??”

“I organised a meal at The Wheatsheaf for a group of 14 fishing colleagues, we chose from the very varied menu, within 15 minutes of ordering we all received our meals at the same time, the food was very hot, it was presented very nicely and was delicious. The service was excellent, I cannot fault anything about our Wheatsheaf experience. I will certainly book our group into the pub when we are next in the area.”

“I had a wonderful evening with my friend, I am gluten & dairy free, which wasn't a problem in fact the chef went the extra mile to adapt the mail. I wanted to be dairy free. The menu has many things which are gluten free. I give it 10 out of 10Dietary restrictions: Great for any celebration”

“Three of us dropped in and despite being them very busy, we were accommodated. The menu was very comprehensive and the specials board was incredible. All food was very reasonably priced. When it arrived, the food was amazing. Both in quality and quantity. Also, despite them being very busy, the time from ordering to getting the food was well less than 15 minutes. We'll be back!”

“Curry night at the New Sun. Well, this was a really good evening. Unexpectedly it was a ‘tapas’ curry with samples of curried lamb, chicken, potato, planner accompanied by rice. Very nicely cooked by Andy the Chef and ably served by Naomi and her latest intake of servers and bar staff. Restaurant full which gave a good buzz. Thanks Naomi. Very good value £28 per head.”

“Had Sunday lunch with 4 friends today. Everything was awesome. Great welcome on arrival. Excellent German lager and local ales Order taken very promptly All the roasts were outstanding - lovely crust on the rib of beef and cracking on the pork Excellent English desserts, between us has fruit pie and custard and sticky toffee puddings Very nice ambience, plenty of people eating and locals in for a lunchtime pint Looking forward to coming back again soon!”
