The Chequers is a lovely, quiet pub with friendly staff, welcoming to both customers and dogs. The food is great, and the landlady is particularly lovely. Although it lacks disabled access, the staff are happy to assist. It's a valued village service, ideal for meeting locals, and is open on weekends.
