We stay at the Delta hotel on a regular basis and visit this pub often, the food is generally quite nice the service is always good it’s a nice pub to walk to if you are staying in one of the hotels nearby some parts are now looking a bit tired and a bit scruffy in areas, toilets could do with a bit more regular cleaning we have been here 3 times in the last 3 weeks and my husband noticed the same old carrier bag is still sitting on top of the vending machine in the toilets.
This pub/restaurant was conveniently situated for both myself and my guest. That really was the only plus unfortunately as the food for my guest and business contact was embarrassingly poor. She ordered the macaroni cheese (main dish priced at £13.95). The terracotta dish was half full and the topping was almost burnt. We waited 35 minutes before our drinks arrived and 45 minutes for our starters. The mains came fairly promptly after that though. The food was good, although we were chilly as the fire wasn't topped up quickly enough. There was absolutely no loo paper in one of the cubicles.
