The Wren Café
46 Stretham Rd, Wicken, ElyCute little cafe on a nature reserve, and great service with a smile. The home baked food is incredible (tiffin and muffins especially), and I look forward to going there most weekends. Would recommend for families, dog walkers, bird watchers, or cake lovers!

Five Miles From Anywhere No Hurry Inn
Old School Ln, Upware, ElyI loved my full english breakfast in this pretty setting pub. Lovely service. Food was a large steak oval plate of food with proper sausages and thick bacon. Well priced also at under £9 a plate. There is a large pub with a conservatory and outside seating (although a little flooded in this visit there is also a separate buidling to eat in) Well worth the visit.

The Docky Hut café
Wicken, ElyStopped here for a quick lunch on the way to the Norfolk Broads. Simple but tasty food choices and friendly staff providing a good service. Free parking for NT members and nice visitors centre next door.

Maids Head Wicken
12 High St, Wicken, ElyA Saturday afternoon drink and Sunday roast at lunchtime in March 2024.The pub is set back from the main road as you travel through Wicken . A small public bar area in the pub part .There's an on wall TV,which was showing sport at the time .There's an old table game in there : called ? Seems a popular place .In a separate larger room is the dining area with a bar .We had Sunday roast and a pudding plus drinks .We did book but enough tables free when we went .In the bigger building attached to the pub (not seen);there is a pool table .There are lots of picnic tables on the huge grass area outside .Can see it being popular in the sunshine ? Good amount of parking spaces.Vegetarian options: One of us had a vegetable tart roast dinner and loved it .She was asked if she was vegan as the gravy is not .Dietary restrictions: We were asked if anyone had any allergiesKid-friendliness: There was a 1 year old in the group, and there was a high chair, but if it did not have its own table.
