Bar • “We sat outside so atmosphere was hard to judge…. Nice sitting out front people watching.We had the shared Quattro Rossi- 4 different taster wines and Italian meats, olives, bread etc to combine. These were really good and tasty. Look forward to returning and having a main meal.”
Bar • “Had a great time on Saturday night with friends. We had a wine tasting followed by a meal. Would recommend the soufflé to start, not something I would normally order but it was amazing. Tomahawk steak for the main was also excellent. Big thank you to Milo for emparting his knowledge and enthusiasm with wine. Booked another meal while we were in the restaurant. Thank you.”

Bar • “I can’t speak highly enough of this place. The food is exceptional. The staff, chefs and owners were excellent, and constantly engaging with us and all the other diners, which makes a huge difference. We took our little girl (4) and they made such an effort to talk with her, which again as parents made us feel very welcome. It’s honestly one of Chester’s hidden gems. They are on Deliveroo (which is where we have ordered from before), but the food was even more incredible in the restaurant. We will be coming back again and again.Kid-friendliness: Absolutely child friendly! they made a real fuss over my little girl and it made the whole experience even more special.”

Bar • “This restaurant made our anniversary so special, the service was some of the best we’ve ever had and the attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed. They treated us to complimentary Prosecco and a lovely surprise for dessert, which made the day even more special. The food was also so tasty and the server Rob (I think) did a stand up job. Bar • “The red lion is me and my friends favourite pub we go every week, the reason me and my friends love this pub as it has a great atmosphere no matter what day you go in with amazing and friendly staff who always have a smile on their face and are always happy to help. The food that the red lion serves is always incredible with my favourite food to order being the mega mix grill.”
