Went for group meal for 19 people, it was so organised, staff amazingly friendly meals came out all together and hot ? was really impressed, they even decorated room for me, would definitely recommend going again. I recommend all the dishes.

Sunday lunch Mothers Day meal. Roast dinner (pork for me, beef for the good lady) was massive, the homemade Yorkshire pudding was the size of a small hat, but tasted nicer! Daughter had a fish dish, which looked very good, and "the boy" opted for a chicken breast burger, which was also enormous. Perhaps we could have not had the starter, but cheesy garlic mushrooms was too tempting! I was driving so it was coffee and coke for me, but others were happy with the house cask beer and another from Otter.

Attended a 40th buffet in the back room. Made to feel very welcome on a very busy Friday night. Fab.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of outdoor areas for older children to 'hang' if it's wet. But great beer garden with play area including swings and slide.

Popped in for the first time in quite a while, we just wanted a main meal. We both had steak and ale pie and it was beautiful. A cold day, made better by the real fire burning. We shall definitely be visiting again.

Called in for tea ,resteraunt tables all decked out for Christmas Dinners except ours and one other,front lounge and bar packed out 5 30pm.Have to say not a good visit .,lasagne bland anemic looking mince literally 6 chips ,smothered chicken as tough as a Wellington boot .As always lovely staff ,I think they where over stretched tonight.
