Second year running coming for Christmas dinner and we eat here regularly though and it’s always lovely food and great service. The staff today worked so hard to make Christmas Day special and it’s very appreciated!

First time in ages. Nice and welcoming. Good food, though our first choice was unavailable as chicken hadn't been delivered yet. However our 2nd choice was great. The sweets were a tad expensive but they were huge! Maybe next time, I'll ask for one and two spoons!It was very quiet when we went for lunch but it was quite early.

Excellent pub. Very warm and welcoming staff in a clean and cosy environment. Food and drink was excellent. We visited in winter but in summer the outside must be terrific, along the canal. Our daughter now lives in the area so we look forward to visiting again ?

A great spot for lunch or dinner if you are on a canal boat holiday. Seems to be places to moor your boat safely. We were meeting for drinks, though I believe the food is good.

Roast dinner was incredible. Doggy dinner looked incredible and the dogs loved it. Kids meals were great, beer selection was great, cauliflower cheese was great. Overall will definitely be going again. Also great for a coffee and a walk down the canal

Came today to have look and see what it's like.As soon as we walked through the door the staff were welcoming and polite, nothing was too much trouble.The food was absolutely amazing and presented lovely, drinks were lovely.We will definitely be back for out family meal before Xmas.Already recommended to family and friends.Me, my mum and dad were very impressed.Thank you do much xxx

I really enjoyed my visit to The Big Lock Pub & Restaurant. The service was really good from the two waitresses and the atmosphere was really warm and inviting.The food was suitable for its setting. However, I do wish there were more adventurous options on the menu, as I honestly did struggle to choose something, so I played it safe with a steak.The steak was cooked perfectly to how I asked. However, I do wish the cut was a little thicker. The chips and beef gravy for me were a big let down as the chips were not crispy, and the beef gravy tasted like an OXO cube in water.I would love to return, and I think I would. Hopefully, there are some new menu items that would be more appealing for me the next time.

We moored outside on the canal. We stopped on way back through because we had such a good meal the first visit. Both visits were Incredible. Service Is top notch from moment you walk in the door to moment you leave. Very attention tive staff but not overtook. Food was just Incredible. Steak pie was beautifulCocktails were super as well. Very well made. Brownie was scrumptious. The detail in the service and food made it a very memorable visit.
It’s the first time that I’ve been here and with my family 19/09/23 and it was my birthday. We were greeted by some lovely people with very friendly dogs that were so excited to see us. A lovely lady with amazing piercings ( I didn’t catch her name) came over and gave us some menus and showed us to our our table. A few minutes later she came and asked us if we had decided on what we wanted to eat but we hadn’t so she asked if we would like some drinks. We said we would but we hadn’t made our minds up and she said it’s okay I will come back. She returned a little while later and we ordered some. After about 10 mins later she came back with our drinks (with another nice lady) and took our food order which we had questions about and she confidently answered all of them. We didn’t have to wait long for our food to arrive and it was amazing! Another lady came and asked us if everything was okay and it was. The lady with the great piercings was really nice patient and very helpful. I will definitely be going back!.

Leuke locatie om te eten/drinken. Vriendelijk personeel en de prijzen zijn goed. Eten smaakte goed. Wanneer je met de Narrow Boat bent kun je hier prima de boot neer leggen.

An amazing lunch ! Ordered the mixed roast. It was huge! Great price, huge portions (took leftovers home!) tasty & fresh. Came out pipping hot. It was busy but service still met with a smile & served promptly. Good value for money. We had 3 x mixed roasts, 3 x desserts, 3 x alcoholic drinks which came to less than £90 even after tip. Highly recommend & will visit again.

We had a Baby shower Afternoon tea for my daughter this afternoon and it was just superb. The food was tasty, very fresh and beautifully presented and the service was excellent. Can't recommend The Big Lock enough. Big
