The pub is run by a lovely couple, it is also dog friendly. They have recently refurbed the beer garden and it is lovely. Inside it may not the most sparkly of pubs, but it is clean and the staff are lovely. Also the customers tend to be really friendly too.

The Newton Brewery is a lovely pub next to the canal. Great selection of well kept beers, friendly service and an easy going atmosphere. Visited twice on our trip up the canal and back. It will be a regular watering hole from now on. No food served, whilst we were there, but a good selection of bar snacks
