Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere on walking in as always, but the quality of the food has really dropped in recent months. Three times now I've had issues, leading to this review - the first time, I was missing a portion of peas. I assumed it my fault for not checking, so didn't speak up. I have had fish and chips from here regularly but tonight’s fish was inedible and the peas had a strange taste to them, I Did call to see what they would say but unfortunately no answered will give them another chance but I will check the fish before it’s wrapped
Not sure if being from Wigan has spoiled me here as we have many good chippys, however the barm had mould spots on the bottom, only 1 barm out of the 2 so could just be unlucky there, easily done. But the fish batter was hard and not crispy, either too much of it and overcooked, or left out for a while and the fish was dry.My partner wasnt impressed with hers, and she goes here regular, and said today it wasnt so good, may be just an off day.
