“Alison’s Country Kitchen in Tattenhall privided us with a lovely buffet on Saturday night. All guests remarked on how delicious it was. I was able to leave everything in the containers provided too, no need to present it in serving dishes etc, just let the food speak for itself. Lovely!”

“We recently visited while camping nearby. It was a Monday night so unsurprisingly a bit quiet, but the guy serving behind the bar was great. He was very friendly and chatty, dead helpful too with local knowledge. The pub weren't serving food that night but he let us eat food we'd ordered from over the road in the pub. Would definitely recommend ?”

“Lovely meal tonight at the Sandstone! Not very busy..which we both like. Lovely warm welcome by the young bar lady and who I assume is the owner Michael, seated us straight away, got our drinks as quick as you asked for them! Michael bought out some complimentary chicken wings while we waited which was so nice of him! Order Scampi chips and mushy peas and Gammon eggs and chips. Got to say it was cooked in no time and very nice it was too! We will definitely be going back as he told us that it’s a free stay on the land around the back in our motorhome, as long as we have a bite to eat in the restaurant! No brainer fello Motorhomers!! Looking forward into dropping in again!”
