We stopped in at The Sandstone on Sunday evening after an event at Bolesworth Castle. We had a warm welcome from the landlady and it was a cosy atmosphere in the pub. We all had roast dinners which were lovely, plenty of food and all extremely tasty. The vegetarian option was also really good. They even offered a different meal option for our 4 year old daughter as she doesn't really like a roast dinner. Thanks for a very nice end to our day, we'd definitely visit again ☺️
We had several bad experiences with other pubs in the area, phoned and they had everything ready for us on arrival. Really friendly and great service.Food was nice and tasty.Highly recommended.
The Sandstone black pudding stack is a must!! Fantastic friendly owner who chatted to us for ages. The service was very rapid, the food excellent and we found out that we could have parked our camper van on their car park overnight. We cannot recommend this place enough. Ideal base for the Sandstone trail within walking distance.
