The Poffee @ Burwardsley
Harthill Rd, Burwardsley, ChesterThe Room (Tabley) was clean and spacious with quality bedding and bathroom facilities. The food was excellent, the best curry I have had, my wife had the pie which was delicious and puddings very good. There was a good choice of hot breakfast and buffet for ceral/crossouints all excellent. The location of the pub is ideal for walkers with plenty of choice, the pub web site has a useful guide and Chester and Broughton is not far for shopping. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The Sandstone
Nantwich Rd, ChesterWe stopped in at The Sandstone on Sunday evening after an event at Bolesworth Castle. We had a warm welcome from the landlady and it was a cosy atmosphere in the pub. We all had roast dinners which were lovely, plenty of food and all extremely tasty. The vegetarian option was also really good. They even offered a different meal option for our 4 year old daughter as she doesn't really like a roast dinner. Thanks for a very nice end to our day, we'd definitely visit again ☺️

Alison's Country Kitchen
Jupiter house, High St, TattenhallCalled in a couple of months back, and bought Tea Fruit Loaf and other cakes. Mum said it was delicious, and my Mum is particular. It also came in a very pretty pink cake box. Lovely! You don't get cake shops like you around now.

The Sportsmans Arms
93 Burwardsley Rd, Tattenhall, ChesterImpromptu lunch at this lovely, traditional pub in Tattenhall after a day out in the area. We both had the chicken Yorkshire pudding wrap, which came with stuffing, huge chunky chips, peas and a whole jug of gravy each! Might not look like much, but there was plenty of meat in those wraps ??? Friendly, welcoming staff and a good range of beers too. Worth a stop off, if you're in the area.
