Had an enjoyable lunch in this Tardis of a restaurant. Starters, mine rabbit and wild boar pasty was delicious and just the right size. My fish pie was full off quality fish but just lacked a little something to lift it into being something really special - a herb perhaps on some cheese in the sauce. Still very good. A quite outstanding location with excellent food,brilliant atmosphere and a team of staff so ably led by Dan the manager. The staff are extremely helpful and so friendly providing the highest level of service. We are regular attendees and long may that continue.

A group of 11 ladies had a wonderful evening. Great atmosphere, hot food that was well presented, lovely staff but … the fact we could only choose off the Christmas menu when I personally would have preferred fish and chips. The menu was very limited with for example rabbit, venison and butter bean mash to go with the fish in a tomato and fennel sauce. Not the best of choices. The prices and unable to choose from the main menu will deter our return.
