Lovely roaring fire ?. A fabulous roast lunch as always . Meat very tender , perfect roast potatoes and homemade Yorkshire puds . All served on a warm plate . The price represents excellent value for money . Adult portions plentiful too much for me so opted for the smaller persons menu . Friendly atmosphere nothing is too much trouble for all the staff . Thank you for great service we will be back for some more banter and good food
Only 3 stars I’m afraid. Staff were friendly and the food was ok but it was freezing cold and I don’t think you should pay for a meal and then sit there and eat it with your coat on. A lovely unlit log burner sat there smirking at us. There seems to be a few places like this around at the moment, eating places with no heating on despite freezing temperatures outside. We will not return to any of these.unless I hear the heating is on!

I wish we'd been long enough to try the grub. After a long walk, rocking up muddy, cold and with a pooch, we were welcomed and settled by the log fire. Staff were helpful, offering the doggo his own water, and letting us sit in the restaurant area, even though we weren't eating. Would love to come again when back in the
