Have just learned that Sea Fever is now permanently closed. To say I am gutted is an understatement, we have been there many times and each meal was absolutely superb, it was our main reason for visiting Bude from Hertfordshire, we would stay 2 nights and eat there on both of them.

This was our second visit and our friend’s first. The mussels and smoked salmon were excellent for starters and the hake and Bass for mains were equally as delicious. We had new potatoes which I’m not normally that fond of but they were probably some of the best I’ve ever tasted. Before visiting Sea Fever I had been quite anxious due to the stern admonition on the website about arriving on time and not a moment sooner. How can you guarantee that when you have travelled for some distance? Anyway, we raised this with the waiter, along with a couple of other issues re the website, and apparently it’s a hangover from Covid times.
