Brought my mum here for an afternoon tea as an early mother's day surprise. I went to the cafe in the morning with my mum's gift and asked if they could put it on the table in advance, which they were more than happy to do. When we arrived at the booked time they had reserved us a table in the conservatory and also decorated the table with flowers and beautiful chinaware. It was my wife's birthday and she wanted something like a high tea to share with other family members including young grandchildren. It was a Sunday when we were trying to find somewhere, so quite difficult. However, with help from tourist info we found The Castle at Bude. We had a really lovely tea the following afternoon, with a range of very tasty sandwiches and absolutely delicious cakes along with mince pies and cream. Stopped in here for a snack lunch whilst going round the exhibitions. The soup was delicious and the focaccia served with it very tasty. Friendly staff and efficient service made for a nice break.
