“Absolutely fantastic meal at Sam's!! Atlantic cod and chips, king prawn scampi and burgers, everything was perfect. We had a roof top terrace table which was just perfect. Excellent service, the staff could not do enough for us. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back”

“Very good ….. fabulous views from pretty much every part of the hotel….. friendly welcoming staff, and even the new recruits seem eager to please…. The bar manager is a true gent, very knowledgeable and can mix a mean cocktail…… we brought our (not so well behaved) dog and she was still made to feel welcome……. Worth noting it’s well worth pre booking your parking space and if you plan to eat in restaurant again pre book. Continental breakfast is good, space again is limited so you can pre book a table time slot the night before……… a noticeable improvement in service over their sister hotel in padstow and on par with their Salcombe hotel…. We will be back”

“Called into this lovely old pub, full of character for a late lunch after a big walk with my dog. Was made welcome by the bar maid who took my food and drink order. I chose the chowder, which came with warm bread and butter. I was given a large bowl serving, hot, creamy and nicely seasoned for my taste. Generous chunks of fish and small prawns. It was exactly what I wanted. Chatting to other customers, they had enjoyed their meals and I saw some tasty looking dishes go by. Nice food and drinks selection on offer.”
