Pubs • “Stopped as casual customers on our way home in early October on a Tuesday evening. We were very surprised to find so many tables booked at this time of year. Clearly meant the pub must be doing something right Managed to squeeze us in and we had excellent fish and chips. Fast friendly service in a friendly atmosphere. Will definitely be back”
Pubs • “After being let down else where we moved to this campsite/ pub the owners were there to meet us when we arrived very friendly and approachable. We set up and went to the bar where they have a good stock of beers and wines we didn’t eat however observed the food delivered to the table being of good quality it smelt delicious and the quantities were very generous.The locals we met were very friendly. The facilities on site are spot on, well worth a visit. Definitely a dog and child friendly establishment.prices are very good for this tourist area.The couple running the pub obviously work hard and take pride in what they do. We feel it only fair that we leave an honest and fair good rating.Joe and Mandy retired publicans”

Pubs • “We hired their upstairs function room for a family 90th birthday party. From the first email to the last glass of fizz, Trevor and his team were amazing. Every detail carefully considered. Lovely food, helpful smiling staff, great facilities and everywhere spotlessly clean made our party a truly memorable event. The Old Quay House is located just off the A30bypass at the end of the Hayle Estuary which is easy access with lots of parking. Would highly recommend. Thanks again Trevor, Margaret and team!”
Pubs • “Great meal at the Red River last night, this place is a regular for us when visiting and the food certainly did not disappoint. The menu was perfect and we all chose a different meal (my wife is still raving about the sea-bass which was the last one on the menu!) I couldn't finish the nachos in the end but I made sure the pulled pork and home made guacamole was finished, delicious. We did recommend however that the landlord should improve his fire making skills ? thanks again, great night....”

“What a fantastic find. A lovely pub in the beautiful village of Angarrack. Booked for Sunday lunch and wasn’t disappointed. Lovely beef dinner with all the veg and my wife had turkey. Absolutely delicious. Tempted by the desserts so I had treacle sponge. Amazing home made pudding with custard. My wife had chocolate fudge cake with ice cream and she loved it. Sat outside as the weather was beautiful. The best bit was the value only £12.95 for the roast a real bargain in today’s world and the best value for money I’ve had in a long time. Would highly recommend this place and we will be back when we return to Hayle next year”
