“Had a lovely lunch outside today. We sat outside with our 3 dogs ( bob the dog on holiday with his 2 brothers) you can sit inside with dogs at lunchtime but the weather was good and it was lovely to sit outside and we’re also conscious that not everyone might be super keen to be seated inside next to us and our canine family. Service friendly and relaxed and food delicious. We went for the small plates, cauliflower something, the mushroom bao bun and the curried aubergine dish with some chips on the side. we went for 2 halves of offshore pilsner which went really well with the food. Shared a pud, miso chocolate something with green tea ice cream - who knew- historic - scraped the plate so hard the glaze nearly came off! Tap water came without being asked for and toilets super clean. Even though they were busy inside we felt well looked after, just the right balance. Food/drink/service/setting made for a very happy harmonious meal thank you”

“A Hidden Gem with Exceptional Hospitality
Last weekend, I found myself in an unexpected situation while out on a bike ride with a friend. We encountered a mechanical issue with one of our bikes, which brought our ride to an abrupt halt. Fortunately, we were near The New Inn in Manaccan, Cornwall, and decided to pop in for a coffee and some soft drinks while we attempted to make repairs.
From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The landlady and locals were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to assist us. Not only did they provide us with the necessary tools to try and fix the bike, but they also offered valuable advice and moral support throughout the process.
Although we weren’t able to get the bike fully repaired, the experience at The New Inn was truly memorable. The cozy ambiance, delicious drinks, and exceptional hospitality made a potentially stressful situation much more enjoyable.
The New Inn is a little out of the way, but it is well worth a visit. Whether you're a cyclist in need of a pit stop or simply looking for a charming pub with great service, this place is a hidden gem in Cornwall. We are extremely grateful to the staff and locals for their kindness and support, and we look forward to visiting again under happier circumstances.
Highly recommended!”
