“We booked a table on line for our evening meal… 2 adults and 7 year old and our dog. We were placed at a window seat looking out into the harbour… idyllic and a great spot for me to people watch and watch the world go by. This was the third time eating here over the years but was by far the best. We had 2 courses, main and dessert and honestly the food was stein’s worthy. My husband and I had the trio of fish with buttered potatoes and my daughter had the kids pasta…. The plates could have gone back in the cupboard… not a crumb to be seen. For dessert my husband had the sticky toffee pudding and I had the lemon posset… again both were delicious … the staff were tentative to our needs and our meal here was easily one of our best nights. Thank you all for making our evening a lovely one.”

“Really smart looking hotel and a nice intimate restaurant. The view is over the bay, which is pleasant. A little wait for our drinks to come, but sincere apologies made. The food was excellent, great quality, hot, nicely presented. The scallops and prawns were particularly good. The only thing I will say is that the menu was almost identical to our last visit to a Harbour Hotel restaurant in Sidmouth last year and it could do with an update. Service was great, not intrusive but attentive enough. Yes they do add the service charge on. Seems to be pretty standard wherever you go now. It doesn’t bother us as we generally always tip unless there has been a major problem.”

“Nice dog friendly cocktail bar, good selection of cocktails, nice atmosphere, a good selection of scotch and a few Japanese whiskey's. Table service was excellent, very attentive and helpful staff. We found it by accident as some stairs from St Petroc bistro took us to Ruby's Bar.”
