I used to have a favourite chippy. That changed after a trip to Pengelly’s. Yes, you will queue. Yes you will wait outside while it’s cooked. But the location is beautiful, the folks friendly, and the wait worth it. It is tiny, but the quality is anything but. This fish and chip shop would be very hard to beat. Better than any restaurant. Great service too. Called the order in for 8 of us and was ready very promptly. Will definitely be visiting again when in Port Isaac.

Lucky enough that the food was cooked fresh, lovely fish and chips and some good specials. Only downside is there are no pies or anything similar for those that don’t like fish, all I could see was jumbo sausage. But very nice
