We hired the restaurant to celebrate my father's 90th birthday and from the speedy, efficient and helpful contact with John, to the design of the menu with him, to the meal itself, everything was perfect! Every dietary need was catered for, the meal was delicious with all plates cleared. A great time was had by all! It was also excellent value for money. I'm sure we'll be back!
We were on a bus 24 day bus tour and we had dinner here near the end of the tour. I can't tell you how impressive this place is. The setting, the ambience, the service but especially the food. I don't think I have ever had such fresh and delicious food at a restaurant. It was a very memorable experience. I highly recommend it.

Great food, however service was extremely slow, to the point we had to ask where our mains were. The landlord did comp us our 2nd round of drinks to apologise, but it still seems they'd forgotten about us! Nice little place, with friendly staff and beautiful old parts of the mill inside. Just a shame the service let down an otherwise brilliant visit.
