We found the sandwiches delicious, very generous and good quality. There was a side salad with a very light dressing (I personally hate heavy dressings!) and a packet of Burt's crisps as well. That and two drinks came to £21.90 but it was well worth it. We certainly did not walk away hungry or disappointed. Yes the decor looks a bit tired but aren't a lot of places struggling these days? Courtyard is a quaint tea room down a side passage and found it in the rain. Firstly I must say the scones are out of this world and the lightest I’ve ever tried. However we ordered 2 cream teas and rather than swapping the tea for a latte which I wanted and maybe charging a bit extra they charged us for the latte as extra and still gave a pot of tea for two which seemed excessive when I’ve never had that anywhere else. Stumbled upon this gem and had a cheese ploughmans which was amazing and a coffee. The cakes looked fabulous but was too full to try any. Great price and delicious food. Would definitely go again when in the area.
