Great stop off in our campervan. Beautiful picturesque pub in an amazing setting. Amazing home made food and extremely friendly and welcoming service. Great to see a steak pie that was actually a pie, and not a stew with a puff pastry lid! Couldn’t recommend the place highly enough.

Went to this place when staying nearby in our friends caravan, lovely old fashioned country pub, both had the lamb shank which was lovely, only criticism the mash was a bit lumpy, owners very friendly and informative about area, would definitely recommend if in the area

OK, this pub is small but has the biggest and best service. Furthermore the food. Its fantastic, the menu is changed daily, the cook is well made, extremely tasty and well presented,. Definitely worth a visit. Prices are fair too. Oh and for those attached to their phones, the signal is poor so you may find you have to talk to each other instead of texting ???

Didn't have a chance to sample the food. Everything else was great ??

Parked our campervan for 2 nights and had a wonderful time. We met up with some friends, and played some music for an appreciative local audience. Had a lovely Sunday lunch too.

Looking for somewhere to eat at night . Came across New Inn on Tripadvisor. Arron and Margaret fantastic hosts. All food is cooked there and then; fresh and piping hot.Variety of local beers. Definitely recommend.

A very warm welcome at the Hoff. Good service and great little dog. First visit to this spot although we have passed it several times but will always top now

Had a lovely day here and we parked our camper across the road in car park. Dog friendly. Nice walk along river...food was all home cooked and very good. Reasonably priced and lovely owners. Special mention to doggies...very well behaved.

Lovely friendly spot and dog friendly too. Excellent home cooked food and a variety of beers to choose from. This pub is cosy on chilly days but beautifully cool today!
I would not recommend the food. Ploughman’s was expensive, tiny and poor quality, served with supermarket bread and butter that had mould in the foil wrapping. Cider was nice and the pubs dog was friendly

Super friendly local pub, with a warming fire for walkers and locals to huddle round. Good pub grub and puddings that'll make you regret skipping the gym, and regularly changing local ales. Very dog friendly and well placed for nearby Appleby, Rutter Falls and some great Eden Valley walks. Oh yeah, and it's my local too! ?

Called in for a drink, my idea of a pub. Pleasant environment and friendly host.

The couple who run this pub are lovely, nice warm welcome followed by a great pint and lovely home made food, will certainly return.

Excellent place for a couple of pints at dinnertime on a bank holiday weekend. Not too busy - landlord very friendly.
