Stayed for two nights with our dog Ollie and absolutely loved it. From the pleasant check in staff to the comfortable room we were given. The room was spacious but with low ceilings and that added to its charm. The food was lovely and wholesome, and the decor was stylish. But it was the staff that made it special for us. Every single person was warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Would love to return.
We had a short overnight stay here to break up a long journey back home from the Highlands.The room was quirky and comfortable with everything we needed and we both slept well.Breakfast was fab, I chose veggie and was happy with a tasty plate of food. Me and my husband also dined in the pub in the evening, and had 2 very tasty courses, a double g&t each and we shared a bottle of wine which came in at just under £100 which we found very reasonable.The service was relaxed and friendly...read full review

This is a great inn in a fantastic location just 10 minutes walk away from Appleby Station and town. It has cosy bars, delicious food and very comfortable rooms.Walkability: Very easy to get to from Appleby Station and town. It's on the Settle - Carlisle line, one of the most scenic in the UK and an easy journey by train from London via Leeds.
