Came across this pub/restaurant as we were passing through the area. We have been visiting the Lake District for several days and this was the best meal we have had since visiting. Met family here on the way back south, the restaurant is well located, near to the M6. We had a meal for 6, the place is has a really nice country pub feel, even though it was busy all of the tables were well spaced out so it didn't feel crowded at all. We had two dogs with us and had a nice table in the corner with absolutely no issues. Room booked for trip back up to Aberdeenshire. Lovely suite, aspiring French style. Huge bathroom. Dining super. Great food big portions. Big car park. Clean and welcoming. One of the nicest little places have stayed, breakfast just superb quality and quantity. Drinks service was slow but kept prompting young lady sure could have been more on ball on this only.
