Quick catch-up with friends. Parking across the street. Came late on a Sunday. They said kitchen was closing but allowed us to order Sunday roasts. Absolutely huge portions. Vegetables separate and lots of them. Could hardly manage it all. Somebody was playing the piano and singing. Not great but have a good atmosphere.
Really lovely, friendly staff. Lovely inside. Had the Sunday roast, and we had plenty, and the meat was very tender. My daughter had the vegetarian option, which was a sweet potato roulade. A nice twist on the vegetarian option, even though it was a bit too sweet. Shame she couldn't have the pigs in blankets or the stuffing, as there were no substitutes. Amazing price for the amount and quality.
We enjoyed a lovely family meal this week. Everything was perfect and we'll certainly be back soon. It was nice to be able to take the dog and she was given treats and a bowl of water, great touch!
