Another fabulous meal at our favourite Carlisle Restaurant. The ‘Duke’ ticks all the boxes for us. Always a wonderful warm welcome from the ever so friendly staff - our bottle of Prosecco, glasses & ice bucket were on the table almost before we had sat down, as the charming waiter/server had seen us come in - now that IS service! Visited here Christmas Eve. Was busy but we were able to reserve a table upstairs . Service was friendly and efficient. Drinks were delicious especially the New Zealand Sauvignon. Was a lovely atmosphere and was nice to chat with all our family together at this time of year

I had the beef madras which was better than what i'd in an actually Indian restaurant! Beaurifully tender beef & light fluffy rice with lovely little naan breads. Would definitely have it again!
