Food was poor, chips over cooked, chicken nuggets could have put windows through. Ordered chilli Jacket with cheese for the wife and there was hardly any chilli. The chilli that was on there was clumpy and more like corned beef. I ordered BLT for myself which was really nice, but can't really go wrong with.Bar staff were really friendly and made us feel welcome. The Chef walked through a couple of times and seemed stressed and moaning to himself.Nice quiet/homely pub, but would say it is more for locals to have a drink and socialise than people to visit for a nice meal.

Fabulous pub in the middle of the town. Great atmosphere and fantastic landlady and partner who took time to talk to us, make us feel welcome and give us some ideas of where to see. A definite place to revisit.

A very friendly, welcoming greeting when we arrived. Service was quick and polite. The food was absolutely delicious. All homemade and very generous portion sizes. Toilets are very clean. Would definitely recommend to anyone.Dietary restrictions: Some of our party didn’t want gravy so they happily put it in gravy boats.Kid-friendliness: Welcomed children with no problems.
We always have lunch here when visiting my uncle who lives locally. Proper pub with stone flagged floors and a good selection of hand pulled ales. Lovely tasty food and biker friendly.
