We both had lunch on a Saturday, and came in here because so many places in Cockermouth seemed to be closed. Immediately on entering it had a comfortable, friendly atmosphere and a good choice of drinks, which were very reasonably priced. The menu is varied and looked very good value, but when our food came, it was simply but very well prepared with entirely fresh ingredients and was clearly home made. Visited The Bush thus afternoon, not planned just a walk-in. Best steak pie ever had, with proper chips. Will be back again. Service was very friendly. This place needs highlighted for the quality food.

Amazing find on our holiday from Scotland, land lady was very welcoming. Food was outstanding and the company was the perfect compliment. Highly recommend and next time we are in the Lake District we will definitely be back.
