“I stayed for a weekend with friends. The accommodation is wonderful, tastefully decorated and really comfortable. It’s right in the centre of Coniston so well placed for walks, and amenities. The food was good, we were happy to eat at The Crown both nights. I will definitely stay there again.Rooms: Lots of little touches that make the stay that little bit special. Comfortable beds, big towels, lots of pillows and cushions, good biscuits, hot chocolate sachets. Just have a feeling of a touch of luxury.”

“Friendly homely pub. Visited twice last week. Had food both times- great pub grub. Good size portions. Good service. Lovely barman (with ponytail) and Friendly chatty barmaid (blonde) and then again lovely polite manager and his wife (Fran) who looked like they were brilliantly juggling changeover day with bar service and who were also very helpful on the drinks recommendations. Good job done by all. We'll be back.”
