We have stayed in the yewdale hotel quite a few times before and always enjoyed the food. We certainly enjoyed ourselves again and the food was as good as it has always been. We will be going back again and hopefully dining at the Yewdale.
Sat on table 21, close enough to be nearly deafened by the guy manically banging the used coffee grounds from the machine on the edge of a bin. Trainee staff either looking half asleep behind the bar (girl) or waiting to pounce on you and SNATCH your empty glass away 0.00000001 seconds after you put it down (boy). Food was ok, quite small portions though.

We always enjoy our meals here when we come to stay in Coniston. The only thing that let it down on this occasion were the bar staff pestering us for wine glasses back because they had run out when our glasses were still full. The lady greeting us at the door was lovely
