Was looking forward to my rarebit but wasn’t expecting it to have been microwaved. Soggy bread is never good.

Always get a good bit of scran and a cup of Bovril here. It's banging! ?

Popped in to Baldrys Cottage on Saturday 24th February for a cream tea, dogs very much welcomed with a doggy biscuit on arrival. Our order was taken and then we were served with china tea cups and tea with tea leaves, all very English. The tea room had a lovely atmosphere and Abbie our waitress was a delight. The scone and tea were delicious. Even the facilities were quirky. Would definitely revisit. Thank you Baldry's.

Whenever we come to the lakes we visit Baldrys. The tea selections are amazing, they have a great selection of gluten free food on the menu and also a selection of gluten free cakes and bakes at the counter.Tasty food, great service and a brilliant place to watch the world go by!

Popped in for an afternoon drink on the way back from Kendal to home. We were seated immediately and presented with menus. The cakes looked delicious and the coffee and walnut cake I chose was absolutely delicious. It was a good sized portion as well. My wife had gingerbread and the small piece I tasted was really good.It was brilliant to see through the glass panel in the door the baker preparing cakes for the next day.

Always brilliant. Their take on Welsh Rarebit is worth a trip to the Lake District in its own right.

We visited today after a day out on the fells working. The luxury hot chocolate was just amazing along with the Bakewell tart. Always a lovely treat and the service and staff are just fantastic. A must visit why in Grasmere.
Fantastic coffee here today, ordered a Cortado and was pleasantly surprised to see it served in the correct glass. Coffee also tasted great.Certainly will be my go to brew spot in Grasmere from now on.

Popped in here on a wet New Year's eve, having been (unceremoniously) turned away from the Wordsworth Hotel. Baldry's staff were friendly and welcoming despite it being near closing time. We had fantastic hot chocolates and delicious cakes. So glad to have found this gem.
