Lucia's Coffee + Bakehouse

Incredibly tasty food, friendly staff and in a great central location.
A very popular spot, but the stars aligned on the day we visited, as we secured the last sandwiches of the day and a table outside after our walk.
The marinated mushroom focaccia sandwich was the best I've ever had, and the brownie/cookie was delicious.
Highly recommend this place!!

Heidi’s Cafe

What a perfect place for a weekend break. We had a terrace and over looking grasmere when all the tourists of the day left was so good. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic.

Baldry's Grasmere

It was a delight to visit this cafe on a cold rainy day. The tomato and basil soup was amazing, baldry's special tea was perfect with the scone (I'd recommend it with lemon curd), and bread pudding was scrumptious. The staff was polite and quite friendly. It was worth the wait time and I'll be visiting again for sure.

Mathilde’s Café

Fantastic cafe in the heart of a very lovely community. This place offers incredible selection of food & desserts as well as delicious coffee and superb arts. Views nearby are stunning. I’d highly recommend trying their menu on your next walk.

A good experience. I had the fish & chips which was really good, followed by cheesecake. The bar has a great selection of drinks asa usual and the staff were friendly and inviting. Had a decent meal here, but be aware it is exceptionally busy and you need to book a couple of days in advance for busy periods.

Poet's Cafe & Bar

After a very rainy walk to Easedale Tarn we trudged up to LanCragg to refuel.
Two decent pizzas, hot coffee and cakes later we were refreshed and warmer.
Lovely cafe, not a great deal of space inside but benches outside when the weather is kinder.
Great service but we only had a choice of 4 pizzas si really a snack bar.
Coffee was perfect

Lewis's Bistro

Great home-style cooking and generous portions. Loses a star for a) dessert service so slow we gave up and asked for the bill b) adding service to the bill and then including an additional tip on the card payment terminal

Grasmere Tea Gardens

Lovely little tea room with a seating area looking over the river and churchyard.
Greated by very polite young man who gave us menus and seated us.
Food was served quickly and tasted great.
The ham and cheese panini was hot and delicious.
Nothing bad to say, would definitely go back.

Harley's Bistro & Café Bar

A really quirky cafe bar. It's a converted church and some of the seating is made from pews, now padded for more comfort! The food was really good and the service was very friendly. Excellent selection of drinks and cocktails. Many gluten-free options available on the menu. Very dog friendly. Has an outdoor seating area.
