Best gingerbread in the world - I agree. So good. I went back for more later in the week. A cosy little shop, with a queue outside,It went really quick. Staff were quick and really lovely. The gingerbread was a very reasonable price. I bought gifts in a lovely tin. Other products sold range from skincare to chocolate and souvenirs. I would highly recommend you visit if you're in the lake District.
We were greeted by a long queue of people but it was worth it! Once you are in, you are served very quickly, so go in prepared what you wish to buy. I recommend the gingerbread and fudge. On your way out turn left to visit the graves of Sarah Nelson (to your right as you enter the old graveyard) and William Wordsworth (to your left, there will be signs).

What a beautiful little gem this place is. The quality of the gingerbread is outstanding and you can taste how fresh the products are, always a queue to get in here and I can see why. Took some gingerbread back home with us which was superb and other assortments.
