We’re visiting the area from London and we always love to find a proper local, high quality chippy. And we found it here at the Jolly Fryer. Authentic and honest customer service. We ordered haddock, chips, mushy peas and a jumbo sausage to share. What a delicious meal! The chips, had that perfect yellow mealy flesh that gives off a sweet flavour profile. Fabulous food! Fresh cooked cod with the best lightest batter we've ever had. Great chips and curry sauce too! Extremely welcoming and friendly. Lovely and clean. Best we've ever had and a great price too! We were staying on the Camping and Caravanning Club Site 5 minutes away and would definitely recommend. Thank you ?

What a hidden gem!This place is extremely clean, has great customer service and some of the best fish and chips you'll ever have.All priced very reasonably too which is hard to find these days.100% will be visiting everytime we are at the lakes
