Being visiting this establishment for years, always go for a few pints while the family are shopping. Friendly staff, sport shown on many tv's, brill craic, especially the goth couple at the end of the bar, always happy to talk. Good selection of beer and food. A proper English pub.
During my visit the pub was fairly quiet for a large hostelry, however I understand it gets livelier later at night. I wasn't aware of any food offerings but their was a good selection of drinks including areal ale or two. There's at least 2 TVs which can be tuned to separate channels for viewing sport etc.

I love real ales. On my first visit to this pub I was informed that due to technical problems no real ales were available .The staff were very apologetic and I think I would have enjoyed a drink or two if the real ales were available. The premises looked good . Let's hope my next visit will be better .
