We ate inside upstairs. The environment was cosy and comfortable and the staff were really friendly and polite. My partner had fish cakes and I had the fish of the day which was lightly battered haddock. The food was of high quality. The fish was delicious, succulent, really fresh and tasty, the batter was crunchy and not too heavy, the chips were outstanding - really crunchy. The fish cakes were tasty and of good flavour. We had an excellent fish and chips for lunch in the restaurant, absolutely delicious ? the staff were friendly and the service very efficient. We are fairly local (Penrith) and it's always a real treat to go the Keswickian.

We visited The Old Keswickian on Friday 22/12/23. We ate in the restaurant, which was clean and warm. The staff were friendly and polite and the food was absolutely delicious. My partner and I had the fish and chips and the children had burgers. We are on holiday in Keswick for a week and we are intending on going back today to the takeaway to buy some chips. As many visits as possible is highly recommended. ?
